Case Bottle
	These two fragments are part of a bottle known as a case bottle. Case bottles were used from the 18th through the 19th centuries to hold gin. Hand blown examples such as this date from before ca. 1850. Did you know that during the 18th and early 19th centuries, gin was used as a medicine rather than a beverage?
