Singleton Buttons
	The small brass ring seen all the way to the right of this picture is a portion of a button called a "Singleton." The ring would have been wrapped in cloth and would have looked like the whole examples seen all the way to the left. The middle picture shows an X-ray of several Singleton buttons. Can you see the rings? Singletons were popular between 1750 and the 1860s.
